Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: January 1, 2026•Last Updated: September 9, 2026•Shop-Floor Safety Notice Included

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Drill Calculator (drillcalculator.com). By accessing or using our websites, calculators, technical guides, chart references, and mobile web applications (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all provisions of these Terms, you must not access or utilize the Services.

2. CRITICAL ENGINEERING & MACHINING SAFETY DISCLAIMER

Metal cutting, holemaking, and CNC machining involve extreme kinetic energy, high rotational velocities, severe cutting forces, and inherent physical hazards. All calculation results provided by Drill Calculator are theoretical baseline recommendations derived from standard machinability equations (ISO 13399, ASME B94.11M, and published metallurgical data).

Real-world machining results are heavily influenced by factors outside the scope of mathematical formulas, including but not limited to:

  • Machine tool spindle power curves, torque drop-offs, and mechanical rigidity.
  • Toolholder balance, radial runout (TIR), and tool overhang/extension length.
  • Workholding clamping stiffness and workpiece harmonic chatter vibration.
  • Coolant lubricity, concentration percentage, and through-spindle delivery pressure.
  • Variations in workpiece batch hardness, scale inclusions, and heat-treat condition.

You (the machinist, programmer, setup technician, or operator) are solely responsible for verifying tool clearances, verifying G-code blocks in single-block or dry-run mode, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and validating parameters before operating machinery.

3. Permitted & Prohibited Use

You are granted a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to utilize Drill Calculator for:

  • Shop-floor manufacturing, CNC programming, manual lathe and milling operations.
  • Job estimation, production planning, toolroom tooling procurement, and time estimating.
  • Engineering education, vocational apprentice training, and academic research.

You agree NOT to:

  • Systematically scrape, spider, or crawl our pages to duplicate our calculators without written permission.
  • Engage in automated attacks, rate-limit bypassing, or conduct actions that degrade platform performance for others.
  • Frame or embed our calculators in third-party paid wrappers with ads or deceptive branding.

4. Intellectual Property

The layout, visual design, custom UI components, logos, technical guides, charts, and client-side logic on drillcalculator.com are protected under international copyright, trademark, and unfair competition laws. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by Drill Calculator.

Standard mathematical formulas, trigonometry, and standardized engineering dimensions (ISO, ASME, DIN) reside in the public domain and are freely referenced.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DRILL CALCULATOR, ITS OPERATORS, AUTHORS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM:

  • Damaged machine spindles, toolholders, or broken drill bits.
  • Scrapped raw materials, ruined production batches, or out-of-tolerance parts.
  • Production line downtime, commercial losses, lost shop revenue, or delayed deliveries.
  • Personal injury or property damage resulting from shop-floor equipment operation.

YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IN CASE OF DISSATISFACTION WITH THE SERVICES IS TO DISCONTINUE USING DRILL CALCULATOR.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

DRILL CALCULATOR IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MACHINABILITY SUITABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CALCULATIONS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, BUG-FREE, OR FREE FROM MATHEMATICAL ANOMALIES.

7. External Links & Tooling Manufacturers

Drill Calculator may occasionally reference tooling brands, machinery builders, or standard publishing bodies (e.g., Haas, Fanuc, Sandvik, Kennametal, ISO, ASME). Such mentions are purely for technical classification and compatibility guidance and do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.

8. Modifications to Service & Terms

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any calculator, chart, or guide at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Services after revisions constitutes affirmative acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law & Severability

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with standard international commercial law principles. If any provision of these Terms is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of remaining provisions.
